This collection consists of an 1833 deed for Lot 903, 21st District in Cherokee County, Georgia, from John McCoy to John Grubs, both of Burke County, as well as an 1843 land grant to John McCoy for Lot 903, 2nd District in Cherokee County. The land grant includes a plat and pendant seal. These lots may have been gold lots, since they are for 40 acres each, and the sales date to the Cherokee County gold rush time period.
